UTM Builder

Build campaign links that keep your reporting clean. Lowercase enforced. Spaces fixed. Every value encoded. Paste, fill, copy.

UTM parameters are the short tags at the end of a URL that tell your analytics where a click came from. Get them consistent and every report downstream gets easier to trust.

The page you are sending people to.

Where the click comes from. Think google, facebook, newsletter.

The channel type. Think cpc (paid clicks), email, social.

The campaign name. Match your naming convention exactly.

The paid keyword. Mostly for search campaigns.

Which ad or link. Useful when one campaign runs several versions.

Space replacement

Pick one separator and keep it everywhere.

Your link

    Naming rules

The three rules we hold every account to

    Lowercase everything

Analytics tools are case sensitive. One stray capital letter splits your traffic into separate rows. Lowercase is the rule with zero exceptions.

Pick one separator and keep it

Dashes or underscores, either works. Mixing them is the problem. A campaign tagged spring_sale and spring-sale reports as two different campaigns.

    Campaign names match your convention

The campaign value in the URL should match the campaign name in the ad platform, letter for letter. That match is what makes cross-platform reporting possible.

    How to use this

    Fill, copy, ship

Paste the page you want to send people to, then fill in source, medium, and campaign. The link updates as you type. Copy it and drop it into your ad, email, or post. That is the whole job.

The builder enforces the rules that keep reporting clean. Everything is lowercased, spaces become your chosen separator, and special characters are percent encoded so the link works everywhere. When we change something you typed, a note under the link tells you exactly what happened and why.

Nothing you enter leaves this page. No signup, no storage, no tracking of your inputs. Build as many links as you need.

    FAQ

    Common questions

    What are UTM parameters?

UTM parameters are short tags added to the end of a link. They tell analytics tools like Google Analytics where a visitor came from, which channel carried them, and which campaign sent them. Source, medium, and campaign are the big three. Term and content add extra detail for paid keywords and individual ads.

Why does the builder lowercase everything?

Analytics tools are case sensitive. Facebook, facebook, and FACEBOOK show up as three different sources, and your traffic splits three ways. Lowercase every value and the data stays in one row, so your reports add up.

    Do UTM parameters hurt SEO?

Not when you use them correctly. Tag links you share in ads, emails, and social posts. Do not tag internal links between pages on your own site. Tagging internal links overwrites the visitor's original source and muddies your data.
